Directions to Whistler Glacier Lodge

If you need some help finding your way to our rental suite, here are some simple directions to follow:

From Vancouver Airport to Vancouver Downtown ... Proceed on the airport causeway and take the Arthur Lang Bridge into Vancouver. Exit the bridge via the Granville Street off-ramp. Continue north into downtown Vancouver, crossing over the Granville Street Bridge. At the far end of the bridge, take the Seymour Street exit to Georgia Street. You are now in downtown Vancouver.

From Vancouver Downtown to Whistler...You want to start at Georgia Street and go west from there. The road takes you through Stanley Park then over the Lions Gate Bridge. When you reach the far end, look for the West Vancouver exit. Really, it's fairly simple because if you make no turns, you will end up on it anyway. The road circles around under the bridge onto Marine Drive. Stay in the right-hand lane. You will pass over a green bridge and quickly come to a stop light at Taylor Way. Turn right and head up the hill. As you come to the crest, you'll see Highway 1 right before you. Merge to the left as you approach the Highway 1 underpass. Once under the overpass, immediately turn left.

Welcome to Highway 1, the Trans Canada Highway. It begins at St. John's, Newfoundland at the Atlantic Ocean and ends just a few more miles west of where you joined it.

Continue to travel west down Highway 1. Enjoy the magnificent vista down onto the trellised dwellings of West Vancouver  and out onto the Georgia Straight. As you approach Horseshoe Bay, the highway will prompt you to slow down to 60 km/h (about 40 mph). Do it. The highway will sweep right and downhill. Watch for the right-hand turnoff for Squamish and Whistler. This is Highway 99, the Sea-to-Sky Highway. Follow it all the way to Whistler. The signs to Whistler are clearly marked.

Getting to Glacier Lodge from the Sea-to-Sky Highway, Highway 99 ... From Highway 99 heading northbound, turn right on Lorimer Road. Follow Lorimer Road through to the four-way stop intersection. Turn right onto Blackcomb Way. Turn left onto Chateau Boulevard. The first driveway on your right is Glacier Lodge. The street address of Glacier Lodge is 4573 Chateau Boulevard, Whistler, British Columbia, V0N 1B4.

Highway Regulations in British Columbia ... It is mandatory for all drivers and passengers to wear seatbelts. Use of headlights during the daylight on all vehicles in highly recommended. The maximum speed limit on Highway 99 is 80 km/h. All highway signs are posted in metric units (kilometres per hour) and gasoline is sold in litres (1 US gallon = 3.78 CND litres). It is recommended that your vehicle be equipped with proper snow tires in the winter months for the drive from Horseshoe Bay to Whistler and, in case of a heavy snowfall, a shovel and emergency roadside kit is a wise precaution.
